2018: What it taught me
Although, we already have March 2019, I wanted to recall on my experiences from 2018. It was one of my toughest years so far in terms of finances, social life, job, being directionless, finding life purpose, and so on.
My year 2018 was a journey of ups and downs: I moved 2 times within the same city, met many new people and made a lot of experiences.
I will start with the year’s beginning.
In January, I was still living in Vienna’s 16th district, in a shared apartement with a nice girl from Salzburg, Austria. The only problem to me was, that we both found — soon after I had moved in — that we had zero connection with each other. Every day was repetitive: after work, we would see each other in the living room and kitchen and ask how the day was, but that was basically it. We would stand next to each other cooking a meal, and say nothing. Whenever I was living together with somebody, I was used to at least have a connection and fun with the other people, so that communication was easy. But this felt totally different to anywhere I had lived before.
So, after 6 months, I decided to leave the apartement and move into the 13th district, just to live in a friend’s…
