Make the shift in your mind

Sweat, pain, blood, dirt.

That’s what’s coming into my mind right now.

I look into the mirror.

It was a great workout.

But I am also wondering how much I was in a flow state. No distractions, I had my headphones on, favorite music playing. Didn’t even look on the phone once in these 1 1/2 hours.

I did a full-body workout.

I friendly refused to have a conversation with one of my gym buddies I regularly meet there, telling him I had to get this done.

Almost every time at the gym I would talk to girls I find attractive.

But not this time.

I was purely focussed.

Why?

Because one decision in the previous week had changed my mind and fitness game.

After my last workout, I had set the goal for myself to attend a Men’s Physique Contest in the next 2 to 3 years. It’s a bit difficult to plan an exact date, but the decision changed everything.
