We’ve all been there before:

You need to finish a task for university or school, a project at work, or you should prepare a gift for your uncle’s birthday.

But suddenly, Mr. Social Media and Mrs. Netflix visit you.

And by visiting you, I mean the new pop-up message on your phone, which loudly presented itself through a “ding” sound. You click on it, and hours later, you wonder how that much time could pass so quickly.

Often we keep postponing things we wanted to do sooner and do it at the last chance because we allow distractions and incidents to disturb us at work.

I can’t count the times when I’ve done things at the last chance, often an hour before I had to submit. There were too many. Usually, it cost me a lot of stress and nerves to get it done so late.

If this goes on in our lives, it can become a very nasty habit and hinders us from getting successful because we cannot stay committed. It can lead to neglecting specific tasks and areas.

It’s the reason why so many students unnecessarily finish university after ten semesters instead of 6.
