Everything Wrong In 2023’s Global Gyms
And What We Can Do Better In ‘24
Going to the gym has probably never boomed as much as now, post-COVID.
Through social media, there was a never-before-seen trend of especially young people between 14 to 18 years of age signing up for them and developing an interest in bodybuilding and fitness.
Even though it’s something we should celebrate, today’s fitness industry can be perceived as a bit weird.
When I was 14, all the kids in my age group were secretly smoking and going out. That was the cool thing to do back then.
Nowadays it seems a bit like you’re the loser when you’re not going to the gym at 14 and have a jacked physique when you’re 16, at least, when you follow social media trends.
And why’s today's fitness scene also weird?
Gazillions of ridiculous influencers and the promotion of questionable supplements, plus the constant need for having to self-optimize and show it on the socials.
I’ve been caught in this toxic environment for a far too long time and spent far more money than I should have.
