How I Got In Shape On A Budget And While Paying Off Debt

Fitness is not a money issue. It’s an attitude.

From age 17 to 24, I’ve tried countless ways to get in shape but always gave up too soon to see real results.

I was the cliché skinny gym-goer, who would sign up on January 1st to get big muscles and pay for the rest of the year without ever showing up again.

At 24 years old, I decided to go all in. That was five years ago.

I put in 120% of my efforts to achieve my goal, got a personal trainer who also coached me for the following three years and things started changing.

Fast forward three years.

I’ve gained a decent shape.

Still not where I wanted it to be, but I was happy with the progress and on the way to improving.

What else did I gain?

Substantial amounts of debt compared to my income at the time! (>12.000€).

Being 27 years old, having just graduated from university with no savings and facing such a high amount of debt was one of the hardest setbacks in my life, taking away a lot of freedom, creativity and mental clarity.
