I Have 500 Followers Now On Medium, But I Don’t Care

Here’s why followers don’t matter as much as they used to on social media platforms

Okay, one thing at the beginning: I’m more than happy about it. But let me tell you what I mean a bit more below.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you’re a follower, appreciate my work, and read the pieces I write.

Ever since I started blogging on Medium, I’ve tried to put the highest quality possible into my articles to get the most value for the reader.

It’s been quite a while for me on this platform. Everything started in November 2018 when I discovered my passion for writing in English.

I did it just for fun.

No intentions.

No expectation of earning money.

I never cared about the outcome or if anyone would like it.

Just me and my artistic license.

That was all I needed as motivation back then.

Back then, followers had a higher chance of seeing a piece if they followed you. But with algorithm changes, that’s history.

Followers aren’t worthless — Let me explain
