Everyone knows the situation:

You’ve had a long stressful day, you’re driving home feeling like you’re starving because there was no time to eat for many hours.

Suddenly, a fast food restaurant with a big yellow M is popping up on the horizon of the highway.

At this point, you don’t think anymore. Your basic instinct to survive by getting something into your stomach is taking control and lets you act fast as you hit the drive-thru. You eat. You are saved and the hunger is finally satisfied.

It might be that situations like these are not a big deal if they happen once in a while, yet they can cost you your good shape because we quickly underrate how many calories we shovel down our throats in our day-to-day lives.

Regardless of whether you’re trying to lose body fat, build muscles, or want to maintain your level of fitness and physique:

You should be aware of how much and what type of food you put into your system.

Calories are not calories.

A thousand calories from a Big Mac menu with fries and coke do not equal a thousand calories from a high-protein salad.
